Monika Mørck lives and works in Trondheim, Norway. Her studio is located at Gregus Kunstnerverksteder, a studio collective with with ten other visual artists. 

Based on her own experiences, Mørck examines issues related to female identity and sexuality. The works take the form of embroidered and appliqué tapestries, montages, and installations of interconnected ropes and silk textiles. With an interest in craft-based knowledge, she makes use of both advanced traditional craft techniques and simplified hobby methods, in interplay between everyday life and artistic exploration.
